    Infusoria

These are small creatures that live in freshwater and can be used to feed
small fish, newts and grass shrimp. The most well known member of the group infusoria are the paramecia.

    How to raise infusoria

The easiest way to produce a large amount of infusoria in a short time
is to put hay i9n a bucket water. Put some fertilizer in the water
and place the bucket in the sun. A cloud of infusoria will be
produced, feeding on algae. The problem with this method is that it will
be contaminated with worms and insects.
A higher amount of infusoria can be collected by adding yield to the water.

    How to produce paramecia

Its better to use the following method, it will produce an almost
    monoculture of paramecia:
Start with a mixture of hay and water in a bucket as described above.
If the cloud of infusoria gets visble then use a
syringe to collect some infusoria. Use the infusoria
directly under the surface of the water. Empty the
syringe on a blanket. The liquid that falls through
the blanket is almost purely paramecia. This can be
to produce large amounts of parmecia by adding yield.
