Witch Hazel
The witch Hazel is a small tree that flowers in the middle of
the winter. Execpt from flowering, the Witch Hazel also attracts
a lot of birds during wintertime.

The Witch hazel is a small tree.
There are three Hazels with yellow flowers that flower in the winter:
- The Japanese Witch hazel (Hamamelis japonica).
- The Chinese Witch Hazel (Hamamelis mollis).
- The American Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana)
The best with larger ans lovely smelling flowers.
- and a hybrid: (Hamamelis x intermedia), the hybrids are most popular.

Snow in januari on H mollis.
In the middle of fall the H Virginiana starts flowering but has its leaves
still atached.
H Virginiana has small flowers.
